OUR STORY
Early in a rainy winter of 2018, a diverse group met in Melbourne to discuss how to improve the experience for international students. Interrupted by a fire alarm they huddled out of the rain, uncomfortable, in a damp stairwell.
Tim Carroll asked a group of students:
"What more can we do to improve the social and cultural experience of our international students?"
"How can the international student's knowledge be shared for their benefit and the benefit of the amazing Australian startup ecosystem?"
Two idea came together. Tim proposed that international students want to learn entrepreneurship but get more value if they can also experience entrepreneurship.
and
Businesses who think globally earlier, do better. Startups and businesses are more successful and will scale more rapidly if they have global experience.
What if business and student needs could be combined?
Providing students access to live entrepreneurial experiences while giving startups access to global citizens...
The Glo Project was born!!
